Signage applications are necessary for the control of outdoor advertising in an effort to promote and maintain a pleasant visual environment and ensure the healthy and safety of all in the city. All on-site commercial advertising, remote advertising signs (billboards and wall signs), temporary banners and flags, temporary posters along the street lamp standards, advertising trailers, aerial advertising, e.g. blimps.
Why do you need to submit a Signage Application?
All relevant forms filled in and signed.
The relevant fee.
For on-site and remote advertising: two copies of signage drawings with site plan, plans sections, detail elevation.
Appropriate visuals indicating the details of the signs.
You have all of the above, What do you do now?
Your application will be checked against a pre-security check list and a debit will be issued for payments to the cashier, and returned to the signage counter.
The application will be assessed and circulated to consent use, urban design, and electricity dept.
Finally, when your decision notice is ready, you be notified either by telephone or mail.
How long does it take?
On site application: 5 days
Remote advertising: 1-3 weeks
Temporary poster/ banners: 3 days
